For 16 years of our lives we were the students behind the desks. We spent hours sitting in class taking notes, writing papers late at night, and reading page upon page of textbooks. However, the day has come and we are on the other side of the desks . . . as teachers. It is what we have waited for, it is what we have worked for, it is what we have dreamed about doing, and it is finally here. We are excited and overwhelmed simultaneously. As fresh college graduates we easily relate to our students because four months ago we were them . . . texting in class and all. Yet now we are stepping into a whole different world with responsibilities and expectations like never before. It will be an adventure with failures, triumphs, trials, and joys. We will have confessions over tears and in between laughs. Stories of students and funny mishaps will fill our days. This blog is about two first year teachers view . . . from the other side of the desk.
